Green Madness II

I finished piecing these green blocks in April for Judy Laquidara's color challenge. And now have them pieced into a top.

It is 62x74"

They are just scrappy blocks
All the bits and pieces in the green box.

Who knows when....or if....it will ever get quilted. haha

Forest Floor

I had a bunch of hand dyed fabrics in mainly greens and browns that I used to make these machine embroidery crazy quilt squares.

I put them all together and got this top. It is 47x57"

I cut 2.5" strips for sashings and first border. Then I decided I had enough to make another border. So, I cut 2.5 x 4.5" pieces for the final border. Now there are just a few scraps left.

Know Your Colors

Just finished piecing another colorful kid's quilt. It is 48x55.

This piece of fabric started it all. Those blocks are a bit over 1".

Here is the top...

And, some closeups....

I still have some of the fabric left....have to come up with another design.

Old World Fantasy

This top was a mystery quilt from the Quilted Twins.....the twin who lives in Poland. It started in April, 2020, for 6 weeks. I did the lap size. It is 56" square.

Block 2

The border

There were a lot of bias edges, so there is going to be some stretching and straightening out during quilting.

I kept up with the clues every week and pieced all the parts. When the final instructions came to put it together, I just put it in the box and put it away. I finally got it out to put it together. Oh my, the instructions were useless. I went by the pictures.

I did need to make a few more pieces at one point. I don't know if it was her mistake or mine....I didn't look. But at least it is now together. Glad I didn't go for queen size. haha

Purple Madness

Well, July is not over, but I have used all my purple selvages and purple scraps. I am finished with the July purple challenge. Here is Purple Madness. It's about 60x72

There are scrap blocks, 4 patches with a frame ...

Plain 4 patches...

Didn't take long to use up my purple pieces.

Guess I just get to play the rest of the month.

Monkey Business

I had a monkey embroidery CD that I hadn't ever done, I don't think.  So, over the last few weeks. I made the blocks. And just had to order banana fabric to go with it. haha

It is 40" x 50".

Do you want a banana now? haha

Old Glory

Finally got the binding on this one today. It is 60x70.  Took a while to make all the blocks but I think it is pretty cool.

This was a great scrap buster.

The worst part of the quilting was rolling back and forth in those red and white rows.
