Judy's November UFO Challenge

Well, November was sort of a failure as far at the UFO for this month. it was a 6 block needle turned Asian wall hanging. I had finished 2 blocks years previously...and started the third block this month....and decided it just was not for me. i can do needle turn, but these pieces were very small and it was more aggravation than fun, so i stopped the madness. the 2 blocks that are finished are going in a pile of orphan blocks.

But, so as not to look like a loser....haha....i did quilt a few things this month.

..Christmas Snow Glob table runner

..Fall wall hanging

..Funky Snowman Friends wall hanging

..A pair of snowmen wall hangings

..And, a Snow Globe Nativity Scene

And, as usual, I pieced a few things, too.

..Good Vibrations

..Midnight...a whole lot of 2 1/2 x 4 1/2" rectangles

..Mosaics...a whole lot of 2" x 4" rectangles

..Playing with some black selvages...the dark selvages in the middle....the white edge of the black selvages as the border

And I cut out a whole lot of quilt patterns and put the pieces and the instructions in a box....probably 5 or 6 of them. here is one of them.

..Ugly large floral blocks. someone showed this quilt and i thought it would use my large floral fabrics pretty well.

And, not to forget the embroidery done in November, i have made 11 (so far) boots with shiny mylar in them.

The background fabric says Wrangler on it...which I thought was appropriate for boots. I have 1 more to embroider then i will have 12. the blocks are 7" finished....i'm thinking they might be used in a border of a Christmas Texas quilt.

These are amazing designs. If you google up Purely Gates embroidery you will see their designs. they are all awesome...i have several. They are based in Texas. Their digitizing is awesome and i recommend them highly.

Guess I'll go see if i can do better in December. hahaha

Hope you all accomplished your November UFO goal.

11 finished in November is pretty darn good! Congrats. Knowing when to close out a project that is going nowhere is a good thing. Wish I could do that.

That's an impressive amount finished in November. Not worth pushing on with a project if you don't like it
