I got a few more quilted yesterday. I can't stop. haha
First ...there's a tractor quilt...Case....I used my John Deere in other quilts (sorry, John Deere people). A collage of tractors, barns and cows.
Back is a flannel
Then I got to thinking how to make more doll quilts even quicker. So, i dug in the to-be-quilted cabinet to see what i could cut up. I found this crumb quilt that was pieced in October, 2015 and decided it was the perfect candidate. I really liked those 9 patches, but decided it could be sacrificed for doll quilts. I cut it up... 5 blocks x 6 blocks. the blocks are 5". I got 10 doll quilts from this. So far, I have quilted up 4 of them.
Crumb quilt #1
When I pieced these, i used all scraps i had. see the chicken and eggs in the red?. and the little star in the bottom yellow block is an embroidery ornament. haha
Backing is from the stash. I quilted wavy lines over the seams.
Crumb quilt #2. I used leftover pieces of binding on these, too. and leftover pieces of batting. this project is using up lots of stuff...i love it.
There is the head of a princess here....and the end of a hot dog in a bun
It has the same backing...i was quilting 2 at a time. This one got wavy lines in an X pattern in each block.
Crumb quilt #3. the orange block has an alphabet block...W for wrench
There's a witch on her broom
Backing is again from the stash....a bright green sunflower print. I did SID in the seams and then stitched 3 lines in each block, alternating between vertical and horizontal.
And, finally, crumb quilt #4...i seem to have lost the pic of the whole thing....but you get the idea.
The same sunflower print for the back. this time i quilted spirals in the blocks, traveling across the row.
Now, back to my doll quilting...hahaha....as soon as the furnace give me a bit more heat and my fingers are no longer frozen. would be nice to be flush enough to leave the heat on all night. ah well, builds character....right? that's what my grandma would say. she woke up to a cold house every morning until she got more coal into the stove and got it fired up. i know....i lived with her for a while. it was my job to go out into the coal shed with buckets to bring back coal for the stove. brrrrr but i survived it (probably more than you wanted to know). hahahahaha

Hope the house has warmed up by now. :-)
Love all of these - the crumb quilts are wonderful. The red tractors remind me of when my husband and I had a 20 acre vineyard in the 1980's. We had an old Massey Ferguson and it was red like that. :-)
Thanks for the sweet quilts!!!
