Are you getting tired of bags yet?    No?....Good, then here's more. haha

The lesson here was....this was a very thick bag. I used upholstery fabric...which, in itself, is not a problem. BUT...the inside bag that i deconstructed to use as a base was canvas. a very bad idea. I'm surprised i didn't break a needle. It was slow sewing. And this bag is a bit heavy. haha 

There is even a pocket in this one.

And, last, but not least...the schlep bag.   you can put anything in it....and schlep all over town.

I had a pattern for this one....from my friend, Mary. She found it somewhere. it is extremely simple and quick. Hhmmmm....I could make this with selvages. (great idea, shirley). haha

I keep having bag ideas and am having more fun with bags than with quilts. haha   i hope i sell them.....or i am going to have a whole lot of bags. of course, some of them were my old bags to begin with, so, i guess it is ok.

Snowman Bakery

This is the cutest panel I have found in a long time. It is 23x41"

I stitched the awning with white....the rest with black.

I want one of those ice cream cones. haha

I love that they outlined everything in black....it made it easy to outline.

I had just enough of this reindeer fabric for the back.

Which Way is Up III

Here is #3 of the arrow series. I used a panto called Seaside by Kathy James. it is 57x74"

The back is a flannel. you can see the seashells easier on the back.

Glide Jade for the top; Highlights Peacock for the bobbin.

Snowman Table Runner

The blocks were appliqued with the embroidery machine...the snowmen are batting. It is 16 x 32".

I used Thangles to make the 1" HSTs. The first time i quilted this block, i had to rip it all back out ... i had railroad tracks on the back. i tried to use Bottom Line thread on the top, because the color matched better....but, lesson learned (again, sigh!!)  use Glide for the top and there will be no problems. i guess i need to tattoo that on my arm. 

SID around the HSTs....swirls and curls in the border....both with baby blue.

SID around the snowmen....with a bit inside of them if needed. I decided not to do anything in the background...the space isn't that large, plus, my thread didn't match very well.

Back was a piece from the stash.

Glide baby blue and cream for the top; Bottom Line statue for the bobbin. 

UFO results for September

September was a busy month. 

The UFO for September was my blue selvage blocks....done.

My October UFO is some blue and white One Block Wonders. i have about 30 of them....enough to make a table runner, since it will never become a quilt. haha

Wild West Wallhanging

It is not often that you find a panel that is horizontal. I found this at JoAnns a couple weeks ago. I bought all that was left on the bolt....5 or 6 panels. haha   I've already cut one up for a bag. I always like Western stuff.

It is 41" wide by 33" high

I like the colors and the graphics

I just quilted around things

And put some fill in the black images

And stitched down the 'boards'

The back was black

Top thread was Glide Sienna; bobbin was So Fine black.

It has a sleeve for hanging.
