It's kind of like over the river and through the woods......to the big city will i go.
In cutting out the blocks for the king size wedding quilt i am making i discovered that i don't have enough fabric and there is absolutely nothing in my stash to match this...not even close. that is what happens when you buy the fabric first and then find a pattern.
I NEED 5 more fat quarters and something for the first border. it is in creams and light blues and greens....i had thrown a brown in there for interest but now that i look at it on the wall the brown is too dark. so to replace those blocks with brown in them....at least the ones with the most brown....i will need 5 more FQs. so now i need 10 FQs.
It is a JoAnn's fabric. i looked online and could not find it on their website. and it is not to be found elsewhere. so i'll be travelling 100 miles to the city....find my stuff....spend the night at my sister's ....and come back home tomorrow. i sure hope they still have the same fabric...i bought this about a month ago.
Wish me luck
And i need to get back before the next round of snow flies....and quilt class on Monday.

Cross stitch progress
I have been pretty regularly stitching every evening on my Amish cross stitch picture so i have made quite a bit of progress since the last time. i am determined for this not to wind up as a UFO. LOL
I have a wedding quilt to make for my cousin's boy for end of April. i have a pattern and started to cut out the blocks. it is a lot of cutting and stitching but seems to go quickly. i have 6 blocks done so far. it will be a king size quilt and i believe i need about 136 blocks so i need to work on these every day. my calendar is getting full of projects.
I had dropped my camera when i was working on the Duck last week and it cracked the case. so it is off to see if it is worth fixing. since it will be about 8 weeks before i hear about it my sister lent me her camera to use in the meantime. so at least i can take pictures to share with you.
Stay warm and keep stitching.
