Stained Glass

This is my UFO Challenge #1 for the month of Feb. it is only 25" square, so i quilted it in a few hours. the blocks were done on the embroidery machine....they had been finished for some time....about 2 years ago. haha

I wanted to do minimal quilting but soon figured out i had to go around the window 'panes' and outline more than just the background white. i like it from afar. hahaha

I used a fatter batting....this was thick and unruly and had ugly seams. i was concerned for my fingers.

I went around the best i could....sometimes it was a challenge.

I love the little snail hiding in there

The blue frog just makes me chuckle

My favorite might be the turtle.

The back is a dark forest green...darker than this shows.

I am going to hang it in a window at the studio. Top thread was Glide silver and chocolate (for the frame) and So Fine green for the back.
