This is a kit of fabrics that i bought at a quilt show...back in 2008, i believe. i didn't get the pattern because it looked fairly simple and decided i could figure it out myself. so i drew it out in EQ and colored it up and here it is.
It is pretty similar to a Take 5 pattern. there are 4 patches, plain squares, half squares, and 3 piece squares.
The blocks finished at 7 1/2 inches.
There are 3 different greens, 3 purples, 3 golds and a green, purple, gold mix. plus the horses and leaves....all batiks.
I think it would be a great guy quilt. when i showed it to my husband his first question was .... is that yours? he might have been looking to steal it. LOL
The 10th fabric that was a mixture of green, gold and purple is the binding fabric. there are no borders. there are bits of each fabric left and i'm gonna see what i can come up with for those. i was thinking disappearing 4 patch if i had enough.
It came to be 70x90 inches so that is a good size. and it went pretty quickly. once all quilted up it will be a winner.
What do you think i will piece...
tomorrow?
