Buttermilk Basin has some lovely BOMs. this one was a free one. if you haven't tried them, you might want to check them out.
It is 48" square.
I just went around things....throwing in a few curly sprigs when i thought the background space needed a little something.
Quilting shows up a bit better if i take a pic of the quilt laying flat on the table.
I finished piecing it last December, so it didn't wait too long for quilting.
I actually hand appliqued these blocks instead of fusing.
I used a thrift store throw for the batting....you can just see a shadow of pink behind the top light background row. I think they work well for wall hangings like these. it adds a bit of weight and helps it to hang straight.
Back is a wild print from the stash.
Top thread was Glide bright yellow; bobbin was So Fine Brown.
