Mitosis ... the act of 2 cells multiplying to create life.
This is a quilt in Thomas Knauer's book Modern Quilt Perspectives. I believe this is the 3rd quilt i have made from his book. I love all his stuff.
It is 48x58. I pieced it April, 2017. It has a blanket from the thrift store for batting.
2 cells (squares)
Multiplied to 4....
Multiplied to 8....
And so on. I SID the rows and then put a wavy line in them. i turned it to put the lines in the side borders.
The back was a couple of pieces from the stash. not enough of either one, so i just combined them.
Top thread was Glide light gray; bobbin was So FIne brown
When you have no embroidery machine to play with (it is in the shop A.G.A.I.N. ..... i get more quilting finished. haha
