Home Tweet Home ... McKenna Ryan pattern

Granted, her quilts are gorgeous....but quilting them is another matter. Leanne advised me to quilt it with clear Monopoly thread. I used a Mono Poly invisible from Superior. i guess that is the same kind of thing. it was quite a chore to    1. thread the machine...and the needle  and 2.  see where i was quilting.  and i have a couple more of her quilts to do, too.  my poor eyes. i'm half blind already.
But it is a cool quilt and i like it.

I used batiks for all the backgrounds

There are some really tiny pieces in her patterns.

I used the invisible Mono Poly thread from Superior for the fusible blocks.

And a Glide Cream thread for the parts that weren't blocks.

The butterfly in this block is 3-D

The batiks all seems to blend together.
