A lot of quilters keep track of their fabric usage....or how many UFOs were completed in a year.
I decided to keep track of thread usage for 2012.
WOW...160 spools used in 2012
Longarm thread...
Sewing thread, embroidery thread.
Granted, not all these spools were full when i started. but i did try and use up as many as i could. i think i did a pretty decent job.
And, sad to sad, this only scratches the surface of how much thread is still currently in my studio. i am making a conscious effort to use the thread i have and not buy more. i have a whole lot of sewing to do this year. wonder if i can break this record in 2013.
Talk to you...

Holy Cow!
I bet you could circle the globe a few times with all that thread LOL!
I found you thru Karen the selvage blog. This is Patty from Ohio that thought I did a pretty good job of emptying 63 spools, but I look like a slacker compared to your 160 spools! I machine quilt all my quilts on my Pfaff 1475 sewing machine, so it looks I had better get crack-a-lackin' and get some sewing done!
I just threw mine out until I read this...now I keep then in another bin!
