Daddy's Little Helpers

Ahhhhh...Christmas Eve.....all through the house....not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse....oh, no, wait.....shirley is stirring. hahahaha

Got this one loaded and quilted today....and another one loaded for tomorrow.

This is cute little machine embroidery bears from Designs by JuJu.  pieced way back on September 26, 2012.  quilted today, December 24, 2014.

And the back. i used a panto that was kind of a rounded square
I think this was what was left of a fatback that i used for another quilt.

For the batting i used a dark green throw that i found at a thrift store. i love finding those. they are always about 50x60" and a couple of dollars.   they quilt up beautifully, give a little weight to the quilt and keep it in shape well. launders well, too. and cheaper than batting. haha   i use them a lot.  they are a poly....kind of feels like a flannel. the stitches just sit in there perfectly.
