The first child's purse that I made on the embroidery machine is now finished. and i am half through the second one. i think it turned out all right.
This is the front.
Although she calls it a purse, there is no bottom or sides. the 'pages' (as she calls them), just open up. This one holds 4 credit cards and money
This one has the hand lotion, hand sanitizer, a mirror and nail file.
Then there is a pocket for glasses, and a drivers license (complete with child's name), and an MP3 player. and notice there is a key ring with 3 keys, too.
And the back....which holds the cell phone and lip balm.
I tied it together with a leather cord going through buttons and wooden beads between the pages.
I am now working on the second one, which is purple, for her twin sister. I hope it holds up to 3 year olds. haha
My sister tells me that their mother will not be happy with me when it is time to pick up all those little pieces after playtime. I figure that is not my problem. hahahaha it could be a good teaching lesson in picking up your belongings and putting them where they belong.
