Flowers on 4 Patches

OK...this is where those flowers went that I cut out with the accu cut machine....and used the frames for the I Spy Flowers.

I finished piecing this in July, 2018, so it is a relatively 'new' top. haha  I saw the pattern somewhere in a magazine, but didn't keep the info.

Black and white prints made a lot of 4 patches. Then I fused and cut out a bunch of flowers in 2 different yellow prints.

The border was something from the stash. And, look...I didn't make the binding from leftovers this time. haha

It is hard to see the quilting from the front, but it shows better on the back.

This second pic of the back is a better representation of the pale yellow ....let's all say it together.....sheet from the thrift store. LOL

The design let me travel across the row and even quilt the borders as I went. It took me 3 days to do it, so my 'quilt a day' project came to an end. but i knew i couldn't do a panto here...i had to sew down those fused flowers well. but those b/w prints are hard on the eyes.....plus it got boring. it is 72x88.  top thread was Glide bright yellow and bobbin was Bottom Line Tan.

Tomorrow's quilt is also a bit larger, but it will be a panto, so i hope to get it quilted in a day.
